Objective

The Planning Commission has the powers and duties prescribed by city ordinance and state statutes, including planning and zoning law, the Subdivision Map Act, CEQA: The California Environmental Quality Act. The Commission is designated as the board of permit appeals for decisions of the zoning administrator and is the board of zoning adjustment.

  • Fill out a Request to Speak card (located at the entrance to the Council Chambers) and give it to the Planning Commission Clerk
  • Provide your comment in advance via email

Comments received by 4:00 p.m. the day of the Planning Commission meeting will be provided to the full Commission and staff prior to the meeting. These comments will not be read aloud during the meeting.

All meetings are broadcast live on Astound Cable channel 20 and AT&T channel 99; and replayed the following Friday at 12:00 PM and Sunday at 3:00 PM.
